Founded in 2013 by brothers John, Iain, and David Stirling, Arbikie Highland Estate Distillery has a rich family farming heritage dating back to 1660.

The Production:

Arbikie Distillery, located against the backdrop of the Angus Hills in Scotland, benefits from its ideal location between the sea and the farm fields. The distillery extracts pure water from an underground lagoon filtered by the hills for whisky production. Arbikie aims to keep all production steps on-site, from growing their own barley to distilling, maturing, and bottling the whisky. They also produce vodka and gin at the distillery, utilizing their own underground water source.

The History:

Founded in 2013 by brothers John, Iain, and David Stirling, Arbikie Highland Estate Distillery has a rich family farming heritage dating back to 1660. The Stirling family has been farming for generations, and in the 1920s, they started farming at Arbikie on the east coast of Angus. The property has been passed down through the generations, with the brothers now being the fourth generation to own the land.

Whisky Production:

Whisky production at Arbikie Distillery began in 2015, and the first bottlings are expected to be released in 2029. The whisky matures in a combination of bourbon, sherry, and red wine casks, allowing for a unique flavor profile. With their commitment to on-site production, Arbikie aims to create high-quality whisky that reflects the essence of their farm and location.
